Emmalee has been lying lately, for lack of a better word. I don't really think she's lying, not the same way an older child or an adult would. No, I think she is learning how to manipulate us in order to get her way. Case in point...the other night I made dinner and Brent, Tyler and I loved it. Emma would not even try it. She kept scrunching up her nose and making faces. Finally she looked at me and said, "Momma, I can't eat it, it's hot." The food certainly wasn't hot. Another example happened just a moment ago. She is clothed in nothing but her diaper which is her preferred outfit. I asked her if she wanted to get some clothes on and she said, "no, I cold, I freezing." What she meant was that she was hot and clothes would make her too hot! Totally cracks me up that she knew enough to fib but didn't realize she was using the wrong words! She is a hoot! I am beginning to realize that my baby isn't so much a baby anymore. She is now growing and changing and learning the power of manipulation. Heaven help us!!

Hey there! It has been a while since I commented,(I lurk alot!) Just wanted to say hi, and thought that was a funny story. Funny how they learn that manipulation thing so fast eh? Hugs from Rhett and I!
Wow, Jodie...she is early. Usually at that age they don't even know enough to lie. Alex was always getting herself in trouble because she was so incredibly honest.
Love the new pics:) I see Em is in her preferred outfit. :) Smart little cookie she is. - Julie
